Abdullah ibn Abbas r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

In the narration reported by Abdullah ibn Mas\u2019ud r.a, the angels said,<\/p>\n

Anas ibn Maalik r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

then let him search for the 17th, 19th, and 21st day (of the Islamic lunar month)<\/p>\n

and let none of you allow his blood to rage (boil) such that it kills him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anas ibn Maalik r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the weather becomes extremely hot, seek aid in hijama (cupping).<\/p>\n

Do not allow your blood to rage (boil) such that it kills you.\u201d<\/p>\n

[Reported by Hakim in his \u2018Mustadrak\u2019 and he authenticated it, and Imam ad-Dhahabi agreed (4\/212)].<\/p>\n\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #8<\/span><\/h2>\n

Abdullah ibn Abbas r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

\u201cHealing is in three things: in the incision of the cupper, in drinking honey, and in cauterizing with fire,<\/p>\n

but I forbid my Ummah (nation) from cauterization (branding with fire).\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018Alaa ar-re-eq<\/strong> in Arabic means to fast until after being treated with cupping. Once the treatment of cupping has been completed, one may eat and drink.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #11<\/span><\/h2>\n

Abu Hurairah r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever performs hijama (cupping) on the 17th, 19th, or 21st day (of the Islamic lunar month) then it is a cure for every disease.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span>The Best Days For Hijamah (Cupping)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The best days for hijama (cupping) are the 17th, 19th, and 21st of the Islamic lunar month which coincide with Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #12<\/span><\/h2>\n

Anas ibn Maalik r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever wants to perform hijama (cupping), then let him search for the 17th, 19th, and 21st.\u201d<\/p>\n

[Saheeh Sunan Ibn Majah (3486)].<\/p>\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #13<\/span><\/h2>\n

Ibn Umar r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said,<\/p>\n

\u201cHijamah (cupping) on an empty stomach is best.<\/p>\n

In it is a cure and a blessing.<\/p>\n

It improves intellect and memory.<\/p>\n

So cup yourselves with the blessing of Allah on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t perform hijama (cupping) on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to be safe.<\/p>\n

Do hijama (cupping) on Monday and Tuesday, for it is the day Allah saved Ayoub from a trial.<\/p>\n

He was inflicted with the trial on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

You will not find leprosy except (by being cupped) on Wednesday or Wednesday night.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #14<\/span><\/h2>\n

Ibn Umar r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w said, \u201cHijamah (cupping) on an empty stomach is best. It increases the intellect and improves memory.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

So whoever is going to be cupped then (let it be) on a Thursday in the name of Allah.<\/p>\n

Keep away from being cupped on a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Be cupped on a Monday or Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Do not be cupped on a Wednesday because it is the day that Ayoub was befallen with a trial.<\/p>\n

You will not find leprosy except (by being cupped) on Wednesday or Wednesday night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once the treatment of cupping has been completed, one may eat and drink.<\/p>\n

As for the Islamic day and night, the night enters before the day.<\/p>\n

So at sunset on Tuesday, Wednesday night comes in.<\/p>\n

Hijamah (cupping) is best performed during the daytime between the Azaan of fajr and<\/p>\n

the Azaan of maghrib because of yawm in Arabic means daytime.<\/p>\n

The Sunnah days for hijamah (cupping) every month are when the 17th, 19th, or 21st of the Islamic lunar month coincide with a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday.<\/p>\n

These are the best and most beneficial days for hijamah (cupping).<\/p>\n

If one cannot be cupped on the 17th, 19th, or 21st (coinciding with Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday),<\/p>\n

then any Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday of the month.<\/p>\n

The most beneficial days for hijamah (cupping) after the Sunnah days are the closest<\/p>\n

Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday to the 17th, 19th, or 21st of the Islamic lunar month and Allah knows best.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>Hijama hadith #15 \u2013 Hijama For Headache<\/span><\/h3>\n

Salma r.a, the servant of the Messenger s.a.w, said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever someone would complain of a headache to the Messenger of Allah s.a.w, he s.a.w would advise them to perform hijama (cupping).<\/p>\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #16 \u2013 Hijama For Magic (Sihr)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Ibn al-Qaiyum (may Allah have mercy on him) mentions that the Messenger s.a.w was cupped on his head<\/p>\n

when he was afflicted with magic and that it is from the best of cures<\/p>\n

for this if performed correctly. (hijama for black magic)<\/p>\n

<\/span>Hijama hadith #17 For Poison<\/span><\/h3>\n

Abdullah ibn Abbas r.a reported that a Jewish woman gave poisoned meat to the Messenger s.a.w, so he s.a.w sent her a message saying,<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat caused you to do that?\u201d She replied,<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you really are a Prophet, then Allah will inform you of it,<\/p>\n

and if you are not, then I would save the people from you!\u201d When the Messenger s.a.w felt pain from it, he s.a.w performed hijama (cupping).<\/p>\n

Once, he traveled while in Ihram and felt that pain hence performed hijama (cupping).<\/p>\n

Jabir ibn Abdullah r.a reported that the Messenger s.a.w fell from his horse onto the trunk of a palm tree and dislocated his foot.<\/p>\n

Waki\u2019 r.a said, \u201cMeaning the Messenger s.a.w was cupped on (his foot) for bruising. (hijama on legs) \u201d<\/p>\n

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) said,<\/p>
